Koop's Spark Page 4

“You electrocuted me.” She turned her eyes back to Koop and frowned accusingly. Quickly, she lifted her hands, examining them for burn marks. Amelia’s small hand covered hers, pushing them down to rest over her stomach.

“Can we sit her up?” Amelia asked Hover. “It might make her more comfortable.”

Hover nodded and pressed a button on the bed, raising Maggie upright. A wave of nausea and dizziness had Maggie closing her eyes briefly before opening them and staring toward Amelia.

  “What’s going on?” Maggie demanded.

“First of all, the dizziness will pass. You have been unconscious for a little over a day.”

“What?” Maggie shrieked. What the hell? “He did this?” she asked, pointing toward Koop.

Amelia winced. “In a way, but let me finish before you shriek again.”

  Maggie frowned but listened.

“Do you remember me telling you about the Gracian way of finding their sparks?”

Maggie nodded. She didn’t remember everything, but she didn’t admit that to Amelia. Her mind had been more focused on going over ways to return to her sister than listening to information about the aliens.

“Well, when you touched Koop’s hand to teach him how to shake hands, his energy left him and entered you. That only happens when a Gracian meets his spark.”

Maggie’s forehead furrowed deeper. Adding together all the information she had picked up previously from Amelia and this small tidbit, things clicked into place for her. “I’m his spark?”

All three people around her nodded.

“Like, he is now my husband? I just got divorced, I don’t want another one.” Maggie’s heart beat double-time. She began to pant as her chest constricted. Amelia’s hand covered Maggie’s and gripped it.

“Breathe, honey,” Amelia coaxed. “In and out. Come on. You don’t want Hover to sedate you again, right?”

Maggie stared into Amelia’s eyes and ignored the aliens beside them. As much as she craved the oblivion of sleep to forget and get away from everything that was going on, she needed to sort it all out. She wasn’t married—he wouldn’t accept that. She would never mate, as the Gracians put it, to another male ever again. She couldn’t take another betrayal and years of lies, or someone who didn’t want her. And there was no way this Koop, as handsome and delicious as he looked, would turn away advances from someone better looking than her.

Gradually, with Amelia’s help, Maggie’s panic subsided and her breathing became easier. The men had moved away, leaving Amelia and Maggie alone, although both stood near another bed not far away. Koop’s eyes seemed to bore into Maggie. She could see his worry, lust, and possessiveness all rolled into one look.

“It’s not all bad, Maggie.” Amelia released Maggie’s hand and climbed onto the medical bed to sit beside her. “Fuck, these men are tall,” Amelia swore. “It’s like climbing Mount Everest to get on one of these beds.”

Maggie couldn’t help but chuckle. Amelia had the same kind of curves Maggie had, but she was much shorter. Maggie was about five-eight in height, whereas she’d put Amelia maybe at somewhere along the lines of five-four.

Once settled, Amelia grabbed one of Maggie’s hands and held it again. “You’ve told me about your ex. The guy was a dick if you don’t mind me saying.”

“I’ve called him a lot worse.” Maggie smiled.

“Gracian males aren’t like that, honey. They wouldn’t even think of another woman.” Amelia lowered her voice and whispered, “They don’t even use their damn sex bots when they have sparks. If, for some reason, their mate wouldn’t put out, they would suffer in silence. But if their woman doesn’t want sex, I have no idea why. Shit, since finding out I was pregnant, I’ve had to antagonize Trian to…” Amelia suddenly stopped talking and blushed. “Well, let’s just say I’m not something that could break after a good battering. I’m not as fragile as he thinks.”

  Maggie smirked.

“I bet he could give you that,” Amelia said, motioning with her head to the side at the watching men. Both women glanced toward the doctor and Koop. The two Gracians were tall with muscles that would put any human man to shame.

Something about Koop drew Maggie’s eyes and pulled at her heart. He was maybe an inch taller than the doctor, with a bit more muscle to him. He had the usual Gracian black uniform on with a long, sharp-looking dagger-knife tucked into its sheath on his waist. He looked dangerous and yet…calm, patient, and intelligent.

She wondered what his shoulder-length, black hair would feel like running through her fingers. Would it feel silky? Soft? What about his skin? Would it be as warm as a human’s given that the Gracians had energy running through their bodies instead of blood? Would it taste a little salty and musky? What about his cock? Was it long and thick? Would it fill her to the hilt and have her still wanting more?

A wave of wanting rushed through Maggie, surprising her. She hadn’t felt anything like lust, want, need for any male since her ex. Come to think of it, she hadn’t felt those things even while she was with the dirtbag.

“You okay?” Amelia asked, breaking through Maggie’s lusty thoughts. “You suddenly look a little flushed.”

Hover quickly stepped toward the women, and Koop moved only a step behind the man.

“Maybe it’s the start of the mating heat,” the head medic said. He pulled a gadget out of his pocket and ran the device about an inch from Maggie’s skin down her body.

“Mating heat. I remember you saying something about that. Jane and Rosie mentioned that too. They said at first they were unsure about the men, but the more time they spent with their hus…mates, the more they realized they loved them and wouldn’t want to be apart.” Panic again rose deep within Maggie. “I don’t want that. Oh God, no! I want to go home to my sister. Men cheat, Amelia. They aren’t loyal. You give them the best years…” She couldn’t breathe. The air grew thinner, and dizziness made her head spin. “No, no, I can’t do this…” She watched Koop reach for her. “No,” she cried out, slapping his hands away.

  “Hover!” Amelia yelled.

Maggie heard the distress in Amelia’s voice, but Maggie was too far into her panic to control her breathing or thinking. Something cool touched her neck before she heard a quiet whoosh. Hover was putting her out again.

  * * * *

“That should make her sleep for a while,” Hover said. “We will need to talk with the captain and see what we can do. I won’t keep putting her under. It isn’t wise. Not for her health, and especially not for her mind.”

Koop picked up one of Maggie’s hands and cupped it between his. He hated seeing her like this. He had dreamed of finding the one meant for him and having children and being happy. The one situation he’d never imagined was his spark not wanting him.

“How long will she be out?” Amelia asked Hover.

“A few hours maybe. It depends on how the mating heat reacts to the medication. I’ve never had to put a female out like this while she was in heat.”

“Okay. I have an idea, but I’ll have to run it past Trian first.”

“Shall I request his appearance here?” Hover asked.

“No, it’s okay, I could do with a walk. Plus, the time it takes me to get to the bridge will give me time to fine-tune my idea.”

Koop turned to Amelia when her small hand touched his shoulder; he hadn’t taken his eyes off his spark since she’d gone to sleep.

“I have a request to make,” Amelia said to him.

Koop nodded, but something inside him said he wasn’t going to like this request.

“If she wakes before I return, would you…umm…” Amelia winced.

“Not be here,” Koop finished with a heavy heart.

Amelia nodded. “I can’t promise I will be back and have everything sorted by the time she awakes. But I can promise to fight in your corner. Maggie deserves to be happy and feel loved once again. But this time, with a whole heart and not a dirtbag’s one.”

  Before Koop
could ask what Amelia meant, she turned and walked toward the medical bay’s door and was gone.

Koop turned his attention back to his sleeping spark. He would take in everything about her he could in the short time he had left with her. Maybe forever. If she didn’t want him, he would wait until she was settled and didn’t need him, and then, as his energy built, he would walk himself into space and the next life.

“What you are suggesting is…” Trian shook his head. “...dangerous, and it would make us just as bad as the damn Lesh, Amelia.” He stood from behind his desk and walked around it toward his spark. “I love you, and I know how much you care about these females,” he said, pulling Amelia into his arms. “But to kidnap Maggie’s sister and bring her here is wrong.”

“We could lose both Koop and Maggie. She is panicking more, Trian, and her mood is getting lower too. I can see her trying to take her own life. She isn’t settling here. And Koop? What’s he going to do with all that energy building inside of him without his mate?”

Trian released Amelia and started pacing, growling to himself each time he turned about. He suddenly stopped and barked Iryano’s name out to the communicator.

  “Iryano here.”

  “My office,” Trian ordered.

A second later Iryano appeared in Trian’s office. Amelia still marveled at how the Gracians could just zap to places.

  “You called?”

“Are you up-to-date on the situation with Koop and Maggie?”

“Yes. Well, up until Maggie woke up that is.”

Trian sighed. “Well, after she awoke, she became hysterical and had to be put out again.”

Iryano frowned. “She has denied Koop?”

Ignoring the question, Trian continued, “Amelia thinks Maggie won’t settle until she is with her sister. She has suggested we bring her here.”

“Maggie’s sister? Bring her here to the ship?” Iryano asked.

  “Yes.”

Trian’s second-in-command stared at Amelia. “But wouldn’t that make us as bad as the Lesh?”

“Exactly my point,” Trian said. He walked around his desk and slumped down in his chair. Amelia hated the defeated look on his face. “But Amelia has pointed out that if we don’t do something, we could lose both Koop and his spark. And I fear she may correct about that.”

Another idea suddenly struck Amelia, but if she just came out with it, she could see Trian denying it straight away, so she decided to try another approach.

“You told me about the meeting with the two council members, and the other two captains on the Hanja two days ago.”

Trian looked at her and nodded. She could see the questions he wanted to ask, but he remained quiet.

“They were trying to come up with a plan for your men to visit Earth instead of involving the planet’s governments in case it started an outcry or war, correct?”

  Trian nodded again.

Amelia sat in the opposite chair to him. Iryano leaned against the desk and cross his arms over his chest. Both men were focused on her and listening intently.

“Well, at some point, your men will need to know how to fully interact with my people without drawing a large amount of suspicion, right?”

“Yes, that’s why it was important for Koop and Maggie to make this area, which would help our warriors too. But seeing that look in your eyes, I wonder where you’re heading with this, although I have an idea of what you are going to say.”

Amelia smirked. Her mate was so intuitive. “You have a large quantity of males wanting to be taught how to be more human. The space Maggie and Koop are going to refurbish could take a while. Whereas there are plenty of large, vacant areas on Earth where we could set up a settlement in a short time. The men can live there for a while and get used to Earth customs before heading out to find their sparks.”

Trian sat staring at her, running a finger over his lips as he thought. “But if we suddenly appear, wouldn’t that raise suspicions to the humans in the area?”

“Not really. There are all kinds of cults or groups that suddenly appear all over the place. There are even nudist camps that are shielded from the public, as well as small communities that want to live off the land and not be disturbed. We could get away with it. You could put some high fencing up, then eventually bring in any equipment needed to teach the men how to live in a human manner.”

Trian glanced at his second-in-command. “What do you think?”

Iryano smiled. “I think it’s an excellent idea. Although I do foresee a problem. It might take time to set it up, so how does this help Koop and Maggie?”

Amelia had hoped the men would ask that question. “That’s where Koop and Maggie come in.” She smiled. “Maggie knows all about buildings and how long it would take to erect them, and Koop knows about what materials might be needed. They both could be a benefit to get things started.”

“And what of the ship development?”

Amelia grinned even wider. “Since the two people who will be heading the projects are very intelligent, I’m sure they can work on both at the same time.”

“But where does Maggie’s sister come into this? I know that’s also where you are heading. How will she still learn of us?” Iryano asked.

“Well...” Amelia smirked at her devious mind and getting Iryano and her spark where she wanted them. “Maggie and Koop will need May’s assistance. If we get Koop to wear contacts, that will hide his eyes. Maggie could see her sister and get her help.”

“Why will they need this May’s aid?” Trian asked.

Amelia gazed up into her mate’s eyes and grinned wider. “She’s an estate agent.” At Trian’s questioning look, Amelia continued. “She knows about land and properties. She could have access to, or know of, vast amounts of secluded land that we could buy.”

“You are quite sneaky at times, me unum,” Trian said.

Amelia chuckled and shrugged. “A woman needs to be if she has a mate like you.”

Trian suddenly barked Hover’s name out to his communicator.

  “Hover here.”

“How long until Maggie becomes aware?”

“I’d say a few more hours yet, sir.”

  “And Koop?”

“If you’re asking if he’s doing all right, then I’d say as well as can be expected.”

  “Thank you. Trian out.”

“So, you have a few hours to hash this out, right?” Amelia asked, knowing Trian would have to seek approval from the council and the other captains.

Trian nodded. “I will contact the council members and captains and put this to them. Be ready with a chrono screen because I’m sure we will be seeking some information from you.” Trian stood, walked around the desk, and pulled her into his arms. “I love you,” he whispered into her ear before laying a soft, sweet kiss on her mouth. He pulled back and swatted her butt and urged her toward the door. “Go sit with Maggie and Koop in case she wakes before I return. What is it you say? Sooner said is sooner done?”

“Nearly.” She chuckled, understanding what he meant.

  Chapter 4

Koop’s sexy, swirling eyes bored into Maggie’s as she lay naked beneath him. She could feel his cock resting heavily against her lower stomach. The naked top half of his body was inches above her and yet she could feel the heat of his skin. Somewhere in the back of her mind, Maggie wondered how she’d come to be in this predicament, but she ignored that thought when Koop rolled his hips, causing his shaft to dig deeper into her stomach. He felt huge, too big to fit inside her.

“Don’t worry, it will fit,” Koop said as if he could read her mind. His eyes sparkled with mirth.

Koop repositioned a touch down her body. Raising her head, Maggie looked down between them. His shaft had a large, mushroomed head, and it dripped with pre-cum, leaving a trail behind on her lower stomach as he moved. She gasped and shivered when it rubbed over her clit. The various bumps and veins stroked against her tiny, sensitive nub.

&nb
sp; She was ready to come already. Her body tingled and stiffened, waiting for the fireworks. She opened her legs wider to accept more of Koop’s hips. But he stopped moving. She glared up into his eyes, about to ask him to move, but the hypnotic stare he was giving her halted any words.

“I’ll make you come when I’m ready.” His voice was low, gravelly.

Her pussy clenched around nothing. Maggie was sure it was whimpering in dismay. With a sexy smile, Koop lowered the top half of his body until his heated skin was flush with hers. One of his large hands raised to cup her right breast and the other cupped the nape of her neck. A slight buzzing sensation began. She suddenly felt energized, like she’d had several cups of coffee.

Koop shifted his hips, rubbing his dick over her clit again. Before she had time to cry out at the delicious sensation, he covered her mouth with his, catching her sound.

His tongue pushed against her lips and into her mouth. She met his stroke with hers, both tongues dueling, stroking, and mating. His hips rocked against hers, and her need to orgasm rose quickly as yet again his cock coasted across her swollen, sensitive button. She raised her legs and wrapped them around his waist, crossing her ankles together.

“Fuck me, Koop, please,” she begged, pulling her mouth away from his. “I need you inside me!”

He didn’t reply, just stared down at her, his fast-swirling, purple eyes nearly black. He didn’t enter her like she so badly wanted; instead, he rocked his hips faster. He was fucking her without entry.

She opened her mouth to cry out, but no sound came out. Her body tensed, and her orgasm built. The buzzing in her neck became more intense, adding to the all-encompassing feeling. Her breasts and nipples became more sensitive with his upper body sliding across them. She was on the verge, the very edge, of the biggest orgasm, which she knew was going to blow her mind.

With one more slide of his large, heavy, veiny shaft along her clit, she saw stars as her world was rocked. Maggie clenched her eyes shut, her toes curled, and her body both shivered and convulsed as she peaked.
