Koop's Spark Page 8
“Come, my mate,” Koop urged.
Maggie threw her head back into the bedding and screamed his name as he pounded into her body with his one more time, filling her convulsing cunt with his seed. Once again, hope filled him, wishing that it would take root.
Chapter 6
An incessant beeping had Maggie opening her eyes. She fumbled in the dim light for the irritating noise before realizing it was coming from her comm-bracelet. Koop moved behind her, his arms tightening around her waist, pulling her toward him even more so that she felt his hard shaft digging between her buttocks. Pressing a small, hidden button, she growled at whoever had sent the noise through to her. She already had a feeling who it might be.
“Why not just say my name as you’ve done before, Amelia?”
“I wasn’t sure if you were in the middle of something.”
Maggie could hear the grin on Amelia’s face.
“If I had been, I would have ignored you anyway,” Maggie said sternly but couldn’t stop herself from smiling. The last three days had been nothing but a dream. The way Koop cared for her, in and out of bed, had been amazing.
Shifting her body, she examined every delicious feeling of being a mate to a Gracian. In the years she’d been married to Todd, he had never once made her feel like this. Maggie had even walked around her cabin yesterday totally naked and confident in herself. It helped, of course, that when Koop had seen her do this, he’d ravished her in the shower, in the living area, and on one of the small kitchen units.
“Well, I’m sorry to tell you this, but we need you and Koop to get your butts moving. The security team has been informed with as much information as I can get into their heads. We now need Koop to visit Hover for his eye contacts. While he does that, you and I need to have a quick chat. Trian wants you all on Earth tomorrow morning. The Gracians are eager to get this started.”
“Lights dim,” Maggie commanded the ship’s computer. She watched her bedroom light up enough not to hurt her eyes.
She turned to Koop, who already had his eyes open and was staring at her with a salacious grin. The hand that was laying over her waist moved up her naked body and tweaked her right breast.
“I’ll report to Hover in a hiln, Amelia,” he said, raising up on an elbow. “I have to help Maggie shower before your meeting.”
Maggie’s mouth opened in surprise. Before she could say anything, Amelia laughed and said, “See you in an hour then” before signing off.
“You… I…” Maggie spluttered, feeling her cheeks heat enough to cook toast.
She groaned when Koop’s mouth covered her breast. He sucked on her nipple deeply, rolling the sensitive bud between his tongue and the roof of his mouth. She wanted to tell him off for telling Amelia what he wished to do, but her mind went fuzzy, and all her body did was crave Koop’s dick.

A little while later, after a long, heated shower, Maggie sat brushing her hair. Well, she was supposed to be brushing her hair, but as she gazed in the mirror she couldn’t take her eyes off the reflection of the handsome alien standing behind her as he got dressed in his uniform.
“You keep staring at me like that, and my captain will probably reprimand me for being late.” Koop turned. He slid a hand up the side of his jacket, sealing it closed.
Maggie placed the brush on the small table and turned around. “What makes you think I was looking at you?” she asked with a tiny lift of her lips. “I was brushing my hair.”
Koop took two steps toward her and pulled her to her feet. “Uh-huh.”
Smiling back at her, he wrapped his arms around her waist and tugged her closer until she could feel his long, stiff length digging into her lower stomach.
He laid a sweet but brief kiss on her lips. “Then why am I stiff as a post? That only happens when you look at me.” He wiggled his eyebrows.
Maggie slapped his chest gently and laughed. “No, that happens because you’re a horndog.”
Koop looked confused for a second. “Isn’t a dog a four-legged beast that humans befriend?”
“Yes, and they would hump everything if they could.” Laughing louder, Maggie clasped Koop’s hands and pulled him toward their cabin door.
During the three days they’d been cooped up, he had asked a friend to bring his stuff and had officially moved in. Maggie knew that although this relationship was new and the pair of them still had a lot to learn about each other, something felt more right than her marriage of ten years.
As they walked through the corridors toward the medical bay, Maggie noticed the men would either stop and stare at her and Koop or they would slap a hand over their heart and mutter something.
“What are they saying?” she asked. At first she was worried there was something on her face, or dress, or maybe something wrong with her. But seeing the smiles from each of the men made her doubts disappear.
“Potest solum unum,” Koop replied with a smile as he gazed at her.
“Why doesn’t that translate?” she asked.
“It’s old language. It means there can only be one. They are honoring you and I. You as my spark, and me for finding one.”
Maggie glanced toward another male who walked past them and uttered the words with smile as he slapped a hand over his heart. Maggie returned the male’s smile and gazed back up at Koop.
“Will they do this all the time?” she asked worriedly, watching another warrior stop and pound his chest.
“No. They only do it the first time they see a couple.”
“I never imagined this was such a big thing to you guys until now. I mean, what we did… Thousands of men and women marry every day on Earth… How many sparks have been found so far since you left your planet?”
“Only a handful,” Koop replied with sadness rocking his eyes suddenly. “But since we have found your planet… Let’s say hope is rising once more for my kind.”
Maggie watched a small dimple appear in Koop’s right cheek as he smiled wide. His face held a boyish charm for a second before a voice and running feet disturbed her thoughts.
“Frater.”
Both Koop and Maggie stopped and turned around. Twirl halted a few steps away from them. Her gaze raised to Koop first then shifted over Maggie. She looked down at the pair holding hands before she dropped her gaze to the floor.
“Thank you for stopping,” Twirl said. “My behavior before does not help you warrant my attention. I came to apologize and wish you well on your trip.”
As Maggie lay sleeping the first night they had been together, Koop had informed her the next morning he’d slipped out briefly to talk with his nepti and her mate. He said he’d given Twirl a stern talking to before holding her close and explaining the whole situation.
Koop tensed, and his hand holding Maggie’s tightened. “I forgave you, Twirl. You had no need—”
“Please, frater, I know we have spoken, but I wished to apologize to your spark.” Twirl raised her gaze from the floor and stared into Maggie’s eyes. Honesty shined bright in her eyes. “I was wrong to blame you or say the things as I did. My frater has probably told you that I lost my parents at a young age, and although it has been many yarns, it still causes me great worry that I will lose more of my family.”
Maggie recognized the pain she now saw in Twirl. Maggie had wonderful parents who had adored both of their children and had lavished them with copious amounts of love. So losing them not long after her eighteenth birthday had rocked both Maggie and May’s life. Maggie had married off the rebound, and May had moved as far as she could from where they’d been brought up.
“I understand,” Maggie said softly, reaching a hand out toward Twirl, who clasped it. “I had the pleasure of knowing my parents before they died. I cannot imagine never really knowing them. I hope when we get back, we ladies…females...” Maggie adjusted her wording to how the Gracians referred to their females. “...can get along when Koop and I return.”
Twirl’s face lit up. “I would be honored to k
now my frater’s spark.”
“Maggie. My name is Maggie.”
Suddenly, their attention was broken again by another set of lighter, running footsteps. A small lad around the age of five with a worried face rounded the corner.
“Mater!” he exclaimed. “I couldn’t find you. Pater said he would help seek you out.” The boy came to a stop and hugged Twirl’s legs before she lifted him up into her arms. The love between the pair was obvious and abundant.
The male Maggie had seen before with Twirl appeared around the corner. With long strides, he walked toward them and stopped and placed a hand on the small of Twirl’s back.
“You should not run off, Quinn,” the male admonished.
The boy raised his head up with an apologetic face, and he opened his mouth to say something when he noticed Koop and Maggie.
“Avus!” he exclaimed in delight, squirming in Twirl’s arms. Finding release, he bound the short distance toward Koop and into his arms, wrapping his arms around Koop’s neck. After a quick hug, the boy pulled his face from Koop’s chest and looked up. “It has been days and you have not visited.” The young lad frowned.
“I have missed you too.” Koop smiled, rubbing his nose over the boy’s cheek. “But I had a special reason for not visiting. This is Maggie.” Koop grinned and motioned toward Maggie. “She is my spark.”
“Really?”
“Maggie, this is my nepti’s son. Quinn.”
Maggie returned the boy’s smile. “It’s nice to meet you, Quinn.”
He stared at Maggie for a moment before turning back to Koop. “We are learning stuffs like sparks in scholae now,” Quinn told Koop proudly. “They says new younglings will start appearing on the ship now, and being we are older, we are to look after them… How do they appear?” Quinn suddenly asked. “And why?”
Maggie blushed, Koop coughed, and Twirl laughed.
“I think we should let avus go now,” Twirl said, taking her son out of Koop’s arms.
“But, mater, I has to know so I can look after them.” Quinn moaned.
Twirl handed the disgruntled, young lad over to her mate before turning back to Maggie and Koop. “I will see you when you return.”
Maggie moved aside a little while Twirl hugged Koop. She was a tad shocked when the Gracian female moved and pulled Maggie into a hug after.
“And I look forward to getting to know you, Maggie,” Twirl said, pulling back.
Turning, the young female walked off with her family, leaving Koop and Maggie standing alone.
Maggie snorted in a most unladylike manner and muttered, “Well, that was unexpected.”
“Come, me unum,” Koop chortled. “Let’s go and see Hover. I’m sure he will be pacing the floor by now.” Koop’s arm curled around Maggie’s waist, and they strolled to medical.

Koop hovered the small pod containing his three-men security team, himself, and Maggie over what his spark called a garden. The fenced-off area contained nothing but a narrow, wooden hut that was barely big enough to stand in. But the garden—as Maggie and Amelia called it—was large enough to land the pod without restrictions. Koop had strict instructions to keep the pod’s shield and cloak engaged. Both Amelia and Maggie had warned that if the pod were seen, it wouldn’t be a good thing.
With each movement of the ship as he lowered it, Koop could feel and see Maggie’s nerves mixed with excitement and worry. First, her foot vibrated against the floor, then it was as if she couldn’t keep her legs still. As soon as he landed the pod, Maggie was on her feet, emitting a tiny squeal.
“Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m finally home. What time is it?” Maggie asked, looking around for something. “Shit, I forgot your time is different from ours. Computer, what time is it on Earth?”
“Which time frame is it you require?” a female, animated voice replied.
Koop’s cock burst alive when Maggie released a small, deep growl of frustration. Oh, to have her do that around my shaft. He barely refrained from holding in a moan of delight.
“British standard time. Umm…” Maggie frowned for a moment before saying, “GMT.”
“The current time for Greenwich mean time is seven thirty-six and forty-five seconds.”
“Could have done without the seconds,” Maggie muttered. “But thank you.” She turned bright eyes toward Koop. “May doesn’t start work until nine, so more than likely she will still be at home. Can we go now?”
Excitement emanated so powerfully from his little spark, Koop found it hard not to feel it himself. Looking around at his team, he nodded and pulled Maggie into his arms with one final warning. “Remember, me unum, we have to be careful.”
“Yes, I know. I promised Amelia and the captain I wouldn’t screw this up.” Maggie cupped Koop’s face. “I also vowed to you before we left that I would give us a chance no matter what. So even if May is against it, I will return with you.”
“And bring May if she threatens to inform anyone about us?”
“And bring May,” Maggie replied with a heaviness in her voice that indicated she didn’t like what she had just agreed to do.
“Let’s go then, and you can introduce me to your sister.”
“We will wait in the pod,” Teclis said.
Teclis, Coil, and Nim were the security team chosen for this mission. They were some of the best warriors aboard the Gemorph. They were often chosen to lead teams when visiting other planets and had proven they could adapt to any situation that rose.
Teclis and Coil were the largest of the group, their shoulders wide and their height a few inches above Koop’s. They also seemed to share a very close friendship that Koop had never seen between warriors, to the point they seemed to know what the other was thinking.
“Yes, thank you,” Koop said. “It would be wise not to frighten May more than we have to.”
When the three warriors took their seats again, Koop steered Maggie toward the pod door and opened it. With the cloak around the ship, even with the door open, nobody could see inside.
“You ready for this, Maggie?” Koop asked before stepping on the green grass.
“I am soo ready for this.” She gleamed back at him.
Placing his hand on the curve of her back, Koop urged Maggie forward. He inhaled deeply; the morning air had a fresh, crisp texture to it. Koop could smell the dew-covered, green grass below his feet, along with the mustiness of the earth. The grass at home, or herba as they was called it, had been a deep red color, but the small, thin blades seemed very much the same. To see green on the ground before him blew his mind. It had been so long since he’d stepped from the Gemorph onto another planet. Some kind of bird screeched in the sky as it flew overhead. He only caught a quick glance at it before his attention was back on his spark.
Maggie ran toward the building that Amelia said was built from something called brick. Koop had wanted to research this, but with so much to learn in such a short time, he hadn’t had a chance. Reaching some glass doors, Maggie began searching in a nearby orange pot with flowers in it. With an excited yip, she stood back up with a small, gold piece of metal in her hand.
“She always keeps a spare in her plants. She is forever locking herself out.” Maggie smiled and placed the metal object into what looked to be a lock. Twisting it around, she slid the door to the right and ducked her head inside, inhaling deeply. “Smells like home,” Maggie uttered before stepping through the door. “May?” Maggie shouted out. Silence. “May? It’s Maggie.”
Koop’s hand quickly settled on the weapon at his side when he heard a thud from the floor above. Maggie had explained the house where May lived had two floors in it. She had mentioned it was something she would like to help create for the ladies in the ship’s hanger. Koop pulled Maggie closer to him as the thudding sound echoed across the floor to the right of them and then sounded like it was coming down something and closer to them.
Maggie struggled against his hold. “May has always been heavy-footed. It’s oka
y, Koop. Let me go,” she insisted.
“Maggie?” a soft, questioning, female voice said. The sound was very much similar to his spark’s, only it had a strange utterance to it.
“Let me go,” Maggie urged Koop again, pushing at his arm around her waist.
He hadn’t realized until that moment he had hold of her so hard. Releasing her waist, he watched Maggie run across the room to be met by her sister at the doorway leading to the small hallway. They hugged, screamed, and cried all at once. How can a female do that?
Chapter 7
Koop watched as Maggie hugged her sister. The happiness on her face was a beautiful sight to witness.
“Where have you been?” May demanded to know. “I’ve been searching for you for months. I thought you had been killed or kidnapped or…something. The police couldn’t find anything but a strange dart-like object by your car.”
It was then May looked up and saw Koop. Her eyes grew large as she stared at him.
“Who’s that?” May asked, but before Maggie could reply, May fired out more questions, a scowl on her face as she looked at her sister. “Did you just fuck off and find a man or something without telling me? I’ve been worried, Maggie. When you didn’t come home… When the police found your car… Todd was even hauled into the police station and questioned. Why didn’t you phone? Where have you been? It’s been nearly three months.”
Koop didn’t like May’s tone as she questioned her sister, not waiting for Maggie to reply. He stepped forward and wrapped an arm around Maggie’s waist, pulling her toward him in a protective manner.
“Hey,” Maggie said sternly, holding her hands up toward May. She turned her attention to Koop. “I’m okay. She has a right to be pissed. You can release me, Koop. She won’t hurt me.”
Koop frowned but did as his spark asked and dropped his hand from around her waist. However, he remained standing close enough that Maggie’s back touched his chest.
